How do I install ImageWrangler?+
Visit the GitHub Marketplace and click "Install". Select the repositories you want to optimize, and you're done.
What image formats are supported?+
We optimize PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, and AVIF images. SVG files are passed through unchanged.
How do I configure optimization settings?+
Add a .imagewrangler.yml file to your repository root. See our configuration docs for all options.
Why didn't my images get optimized?+
Check that the repository has the app installed and images are in supported formats. Some images may already be optimally compressed.
How do I uninstall ImageWrangler?+
Go to GitHub Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps, find ImageWrangler, and click "Uninstall".
